Pretty dull and boring beats imo.
They all sound virtually the same, all start with that same quantized hi-hat and then here comes a boring drum pattern.
I have heard good stuff from you in the past, I guess with all the gear you always show in your pictures of your studio I was expecting a lot better. |

lol..fair enough man. All the gear?I used a computer and a mpc? with dbx386 vacuum tube pre-amp in between.. and i record with pro tools (003 rack).. Not sure what that was supposed to mean.....funny tho..
I can see you thinking their dull and boring tho cause you make the anthem type tracks a lot and that's word...keep doing your thing... ill always be doing mine...most of these beats are all basically stuff i've just whipped up in the past 2 weeks to be honest. Most are just the raw Mpc tracks recorded to pro tools then beefed up a bit...aside from the 2 that i used FL Studio and the mpc half and half....they were also tracked out in Protools...the only older beat is rain pt 2...
I used to make crazy beats that had wayyyy too much going on and i've had a lot of rapper's tell me they like the simple stuff rather than overpowering instrumentation ect..those beats are best left as just that...Instrumentals IMO...some days i'm bout jus a sample and some drums....another day im programming synths and making drum and bass and break beats...I don't like to limit myself to one style or sound. Saying that they all sound the same is weird to me..i think they all sound completly different style wise..
anyway thx for the feedback...

No doubt Aries, to each their own. I think if that minimalist sound was what you were going for with these selections then you surely accomplished that. They just dont have the bounce or head nod factor.
Keep doing your thing, maybe the next batch of beats you make will have some more excitement!

call me a granny but I like the non exciting granny beats .
maybe i should add some criticsm since its the cool thing.
maybe some sub bass on the first beat, unless its too low to hear .
but these are dope.
and for beats all sounding the same, i think its importatant for beats to sound the same . then when you have a dope rap album you can tell its all made by the same dude. , its a signanture trademark sound.

There is no bass line on the first beat...there may be before the track is released tho...i sold my bass and hate using keyboard bass on sampled stuff...
I hear ya about the beats sounding the same in that aspect. If i'm producing a bunch of beats for the same artist, of course ill try to make them sound somewhat similar style wise.....but when i'm uploading a bunch of quikly made beats to a sound click page for random rappers to buy, i want there to be an assortment of styles so that i can appeal to different types of rappers...
i like it when people are honest tho and if its not your thing its not your thing...if you love it and wanna fall asleep to it at night that's cool too..LOL
This is the first negative feedback i've got regarding the beats anywhere on any site and got rid of 5 of the 7 beats after them being posted for 48 hours..lol...my rents paid for the month...anyway time to go burry myself in a pile of records and make some more...
